RKW adapts his fine artwork for large interior spaces or applies his creative vision to create unique, one of a kind exterior spaces.  RKW has received multiple public art project commissions and grants and has successfully completed a range of diverse projects often working alongside of City Planners, Architects, Engineers, Government Staff and Community Groups and can confidently communicate and work amongst varied professionals as part of a team. RKW is continually seeking new public art commissions including projects/teams seeking an Art Director.

Metropolitan Branch Trail – Public Art

HNTB Architecture

This temporary public art project titled “Creating Desire By Withholding” was installed in the ground floor of the HNTB Architecture office space and was accessible 24/7 by the public for a month. Completed 2003.

This public art project was awarded by Cultural Tourism, DC as part of a community restoration and re-purposing of the old police call boxes. Completed 2005.

Creating Desire by Withholding

This dual purpose public art project demonstrates the possibilities of art in unexpected places and is a “prototype” allowing the artist to test materials and finishes for long-term use on future projects. Completed 2002.
